Sorority History

On March, 25, 1917, seven Jewish women who exemplified self-confidence and the willingness to take a risk founded Sigma Delta Tau at Cornell University. These young women established a sorority that would respect the individuality of its members. The personal growth and social development of each individual was the basis on which Sigma Delta Tau was built. All of our sisters exemplify our motto, "One Hope of Many People" through our philanthropy efforts and giving back to the community.
