From Our President

Welcome to Sigma Delta Tau-Alpha Nu Chapter! My name is Lilly Polakoff, Chapter President. I am a sophomore here at Wisconsin studying Supply Chain Management through the Wisconsin School of Business. Although my hometown of Baltimore, Maryland is so far from campus here in Madison, I am so beyond thankful to have found a second home here at Sigma Delta Tau.

From the first time I stepped into the SDT house during recruitment I felt welcomed by all of the girls surrounding me. Joining a sorority was something I always imagined being a part of my college experience, and in SDT I found all that I wanted and more. I appreciated from day one the inclusive and supportive community that SDT represented. On bid day, I finally felt at home as I met my soon-to-be big and felt an overwhelming amount of excitement from the other members. I immediately knew I would make my new best friends in this chapter. Big/Little week, sisterhood events, philanthropy events like EAT Late, formals and more were all some of the highlights of my freshman year at Wisconsin.

Not only have I formed amazing friendships and life-long memories with my sisters, but also I have had the enriching opportunity to become a leader within the chapter. Last year, I served as assistant recruitment chair and had the incredible opportunity to participate behind the scenes during recruitment. I am now so excited to help lead our newest class of sisters. Being on such a large campus ,it is hard to feel like you are able to make an impact. However, I am so grateful for the opportunity within SDT to become a leader. I can’t wait to see what this year brings and how I can continue to bond and create new memories with my sisters and grow our chapter as a whole.

Love n' Sig,

Lillian Polakoff
